2026 Panigale V4 R
Panigale V4 R: Born from Racing, Built for the Road
The Panigale V4 R is the ultimate expression of Ducati's racing technology, designed to deliver a pure, uncompromised Superbike experience on the road. Developed in close collaboration with Ducati Corse, this bike embodies the success achieved in MotoGP and World Superbike, offering enthusiasts access to technical solutions previously reserved for official riders.
Key Technical Components:
-
Engine: The heart of the V4 R is the Euro 5+ approved 998cc Desmosedici Stradale R engine. This V4 features a counter-rotating crankshaft, Desmodromic timing, and 4 valves per cylinder. It delivers a maximum power of 218 hp at 15,750 rpm and 114.5 Nm of torque at 12,000 rpm, with the potential to reach 239 hp with the dedicated racing exhaust and Shell Performance Oil.
-
Chassis & Suspension: The bike is built on an aluminium alloy "Front Frame" with optimized stiffnesses and a Hollow Symmetrical Swingarm, providing exceptional stability and a connected feel. It features a fully adjustable Öhlins mechanical suspension setup, including a 43 mm Öhlins NPX pressurized fork with TiN treatment and an Öhlins TTX36 shock. The rear suspension height and swingarm pivot position are also adjustable, a direct benefit from Ducati's SBK racing efforts.
-
Aerodynamics: The Panigale V4 R is the first road-legal sports bike to feature Corner Sidepods, a technology derived from MotoGP that generates downforce at high lean angles to improve grip and cornering speed. The new winglets further enhance stability, increasing vertical load by 25% compared to the previous model.
-
Gearbox: A standout feature is the Ducati Racing Gearbox (DRG), which uses a race-style gear pattern where neutral is located below first gear. This setup, combined with the patented Ducati Neutral Lock (DNL) system, prevents accidental shifts to neutral during critical braking moments.
-
Electronics: The bike is equipped with a comprehensive suite of advanced electronics, including Race Brake Control (RBC) and Engine Brake Control (EBC) DVO, ensuring maximum performance and safety.
With a wet weight of 186.5 kg (without fuel) and a seat height of 855 mm, the Panigale V4 R is a masterclass in lightweight, high-performance engineering. It is the closest you can get to a factory Superbike, designed for the rider who demands the very best.
